Wisconsin tallied two goals in barely more than twelve minutes of action on its way to a 2-1 victory over in-state rival Marquette.
Eric Hanson contributed five saves for the Badgers, who moved to 8-7-0 overall (1-2-0 Big Ten).
The Badgers' Phil Doeh notched an unassisted goal less than eight minutes into the contest. Then, at 12:06, Nick Van Sicklen set up Matt Jelacic to put the Badgers up 2-0.
A red card placed Marquette down a player just 20 minutes into the game, but the Golden Eagles managed to draw within 2-1 at 34:13 when Matt Blouin found the net. Wisconsin, though, hung on for the win.
The Badgers resume conference action on Sunday when they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face off against the Wolverines.
