The men's crew team won all five of its races at the Head of the Iowa Sunday.
Wisconsin rowers earned the top three finishes in the open eight, open four, open pair and novice four. The Badgers also took first, third and eighth in the novice eight.
The openweight women's team also competed, taking third and fourth in the open eight and second and fourth in the open four behind Minnesota, the winner of both races. Both races were close as Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin clocked in less than two seconds apart in the open eight. The team won the novice four in 16:47 and took second with 17:45, as well as placing second in the novice open eight.
In lightweight action, the varsity lightweight eight took seventh place in the open eight with a time of 14:12.21, behind Minnesota and two openweight Wisconsin boats. In the lightweight women's four, however, the Badgers nabbed the top two finishes. The novice lightweights followed in similar fashion, taking first and second place in their competition.
