Joliet (Illinois) Catholic offensive tackle, Mike Kolodziej has more than 20 scholarship offers. Schools from coast to coast have put their best foot forward in their recruitment of Mr. Kolodziej. Many schools had the day off on Monday and I happened to run into Kolo and one of his teammates at a Chicago Area mall.

"I haven't set up any visits yet." Kolodziej said. "There are four visits I'm going to make for sure. Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Miami are the schools I'm going to visit. The fifth visit is up in the air right now.

Michigan is still my leader but I'm going to take my visits with an open mind and make the best decision for myself. I love Michigan's coaches. I'll say that I feel very comfortable there (Ann Arbor)."

The Wolverines will be tough to beat for Mike Kolodziej's services. Notre Dame will have Kolo's former teammate and current Fighting Irish linebacker, Mike Goolsby host him on his official visit to South Bend.

Michigan State has shot up the charts for Kolodziej, as ace recruiter Sal Sunseri and recruiting coordinator, Brad Lawing have both done a great job of selling Spartan football to the Kolodziej family.

Miami almost received a commitment from Blake Larsen a year ago. Larsen opted to stay home and play for Iowa. Kolodziej will be the next big time Mid-Western lineman to visit the Canes.

Kolodziej is being recruited by former Hurricane tight end and current offensive coordinator, Rob Chudzinski. Kolo will also have a chance to meet the architect of one of the best offensive line units in the nation, Miami O-Line coach, Art Kehoe.

"I don't know if I'm going to visit Wisconsin anymore. The probation has hurt their chances a little. I haven't set up my fifth visit yet. We'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks." Kolodziej said.
