The Badgers woes in West Lafayette, Ind. Continued last week in a 53-51 loss. Wisconsin (11-3 overall, 2-1 Big Ten) settles in back at home for two games this week, with Michigan (10-4, 1-2) followed by a showdown with Illinois (11-4, 2-2).

The Badgers (7-8 overall, 1-4 Big Ten) played four games in eight days, including three home games, culminating in Sunday's 66-46 loss at Iowa. Wisconsin finished the stretch 2-2 and now return home for a pair of conference games against Michigan (9-9, 2-3) and Northwestern (7-9, 0-5).

The Badgers fell into a tie for third place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association after a non-conference series with Notre Dame over the weekend. Wisconsin (14-6-6 overall, 8-3-5 WCHA) took a loss and a tie against the Irish and are now winless in their last three games (0-2-1). This weekend's road series with the defending WCHA champion Tigers (11-8-3, 4-8-2) precedes a trip to Minnesota and home series with No. 1 North Dakota.

Men's and Women's Track: Wisconsin Invitational, Saturday, Jan. 24 in Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center, field events begin at 11:45 a.m., running events at 1:00 p.m.


The meet includes men's and women's teams from Illinois State, Indiana State, Iowa State, Northern Iowa and open athletes in addition to Wisconsin. Also includes the Illinois men's track team.


Women's Tennis: Wisconsin v. Drake, Friday, Jan. 23 at 4:00 p.m. and Wisconsin v. Western Michigan, Sunday, Jan. 25 at 11:00 a.m. (Nielsen Tennis Stadium)


The Badgers begin their spring dual season with two non-conference matches this week. UW was 11-12 last season.

The Badgers (13-2) matchup with the Hoosiers (15-3) will be the Big Ten opener for each team. Wisconsin is 22-24-0 all-time against Indiana.
