Cosgrove, Jamison and Wisconsin

Former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove had been recruiting standout defensive end Tim Jamison prior to taking the same job at Nebraska. What does his departure mean for the Badgers' chances?

One of the most anticipated commitment announcements will belong to Tim Jamison

Badger Nation spoke with Jamison's father Sunday evening and he stated that his son plans to announce his decision Jan. 26 or Jan. 27.

The Thornton Township High School (Harvey, Ill.) defensive end is still considering taking an official visit to Michigan State this weekend and may also take official trips to Purdue or Iowa before signing day.

Jamison has already visited Michigan (Jan. 9) and Wisconsin (Dec. 5) and those schools are considered his most likely destinations.

Former Badger defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove, who has since moved to Nebraska, was recruiting Jamison for Wisconsin. Mr. Jamison, though, said that Cosgrove's departure will have "no bearing" on his son's decision. Wisconsin defensive line coach John Palermo is now in contact with Jamison on the Badgers' behalf.

The Huskers, meanwhile, have contacted Jamison once but little has come of the encounter thus far.
