Sophomore goaltender Meghan Horras received Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and U.S. College Hockey Online Tuesday.

Horras, an Appleton, Wis. native, had 51 saves in two games against then-No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth Jan. 17 and 18, facing some of the world's top players and former Olympians. The Badgers tied the Bulldogs 1-1 Saturday but defeated them 5-2 on home ice Sunday.  Minnesota-Duluth is the three-time defending NCAA national champion.

Horras played a key role in stopping two of the top players in the country in junior forward Caroline Ouellette and senior forward Jenny Potter, who were held to just one point each during the weekend series.
