Badger hockey players earn national honors

Freshman forward Robbie Earl and junior goaltender Bernd Bruckler each earned national Player of the Week honors for their performances against North Dakota Friday and Saturday. Earl was named Player of the Week by for his four-goal performance against the Fighting Sioux, including a hat trick Friday night.


Bruckler earned Defensive Player of the Week from U.S. College Hockey Online. He stopped 66 of 71 shots on goal for a 93 percent save percentage. The awards are the first national honors Badgers have received this season.
