"Syracuse has offered him and that is his only offer as of now,"
Union-Endicott head coach Bart Guccia said. "Coach Pasqualoni has been here and Syracuse has really been recruiting him the hardest since day one. Syracuse is the frontrunner for him as of now.
Guccia said that Wisconsin are also showing interest in Jones.
Currently, Jones doesn't really have a timetable on when he will decide. Guccia
said Jones could make a decision in the summer or he may wait and take some visits. Guccia also said he is not sure on whether Jones will camp anywhere this summer because he usually wrestles in the summer. Jones is known as one of the best scholastic wrestlers in the country at
the 275-pound weight class.
Jones is a 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman that made first team all-state and
first-team All-Binghamton Metro Area in 2003. He was the
runner-up in the New York State Wrestling tournament at 275 pounds in 2004 after
winning the state title at 275 in 2003. Jones is widely considered to be one of the top ten football players in New York State in 2005.
