Not many players in the country can boast the kind of numbers put up by Park Ridge, Ill. quarterback Sean Price. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Chicago-area native is receiving a lot of interest from around the Midwest after his outstanding junior season.
"I was 342-for-525 for 4,752 yards and 55 touchdowns," Price said. "We run a spread offense so I throw it about 35 times a game. I threw 10 interceptions on the year."
Despite the monster year, Price has yet to receive his first scholarship offer, but plenty should be coming soon. "I don't have an offer yet," he said. "Mostly Big 10 schools have been writing. Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Purdue have written me the most."
Price also recently visited Notre Dame for junior day. "I enjoyed it a lot," he said. "It wasn't my first time there. My brother just graduated from Notre Dame. My sister goes to school there now. My cousin, Colin Falls, plays on the basketball team there. I'm pretty familiar with Notre Dame."
Summer camps are also on Price's mind recently. "I've been thinking about that," he said. "I think I'll go to camp at Illinois, Notre Dame and probably the Nike camp in Iowa."
Price should qualify as he claims a 2.75 grade point average in his core curriculum. He plans to take a college entrance exam next month.
"I haven't really decided," Price said when asked when he plans to make his decision. "I'm just going to check out some schools and find the school that I like the best. Academics will be important to me. I'll visit the campuses and get a feeling for the players. I'll also look at playing time."
