Wisconsin sophomore guard Maurice "Boo" Wade was charged with misdemeanor bail jumping Monday in Dane County Circuit Court.
Wade, 19, also faces a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an early-February arrest. In that case he is accused of choking his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend.
Per the terms of his release in that case on signature bond, Wade was ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with his accuser. Wade, though, allegedly violated that order. He appeared in court Monday and was again released on signature bond and ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with his accuser.
Wade is scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a final pretrial hearing regarding the battery charge.
Each misdemeanor charge carries a penalty of up to nine months in prison and/or a fine of $10,000.
