Jon Scheyer did not exactly set the world on fire this past weekend in Houston, but one thing the Glenbrook North (Ill.) 6-foot-5, 170-pound sophomore does is learn from his mistakes.

The first game he was not aggressive, settling for 3-pointers. The next game he went hard to the basket.

``On a scale of one to 10, I'd give myself a four," Scheyer said after his first game, in which he scored 13 points – including four trifectas. "I didn't play really well. I didn't get to the basket and didn't do anything from mid-range."

Scheyer said that he plans on attending the Duke camp this summer after not being able to make it a year ago.

``This year I made an effort to make sure I could go," Scheyer said. "I'm really looking forward to it."

For now, Scheyer has a preliminary list that reads Duke, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Arizona and Florida.

``At the end of the summer, I'll cut it to seven or eight and hopefully I can make my decision at the beginning of my senior year," he said. "It'll be nice to get it off my chest."

One thing is for certain: Scheyer is glad that the Blue Devils stepped up their level of interest.

``I'm real excited," he added. "I haven't seen the school yet and am really looking forward to that when I go to camp. I want to learn a lot more about them."
