Tom Crean had the forward he covets on campus last weekend and took his best shot at Kansas City Piper's Leo Criswell. The 6-foot-8 Criswell made his first of a possible five official visits.

"He's probably the best coach I've ever met," Criswell said of Crean. "He really shows he cares and I admire him a lot."

That is lofty praise from the top junior in the state of Kansas. Although Criswell enjoyed the trip to Golden Eagle land, he is not ready to commit.

The Piper junior might not be able to take any more official visits this spring because of his schedule. However, that is not to say he is done looking around.

Oklahoma State and Miami are recruiting him hard. Wisconsin came and talked with his coach this month.

When asked about anyone else in the picture, Criswell said, "Nobody else is trying hard enough."

Right now, Marquette is in good shape and would probably like him to commit right now. Criswell thinks an end of summer decision is more likely.

"I don't want to put my school [selection] ahead of my team."

You can catch Criswell with the Kansas City Pump & Run team.
