Dion Foster, a 5-foot-8, 190-pound running back from Oak Lawn (Ill.) Richards is one of the top tailbacks in the Midwest.
Foster rushed for 1,909 yards and 32 touchdowns as a sophomore and he rushed for 1,558 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior.
Foster is set to shatter the Richards all-time rushing mark in 2004 and he should also break the all-time scoring mark in school history as well.
The Bulldogs are coached by Hall of Fame legend Gary Korhonen. Korhonen has sent several young men to the D-I ranks including some very good tailbacks including Joe Montgomery and Demetrius Smith.
Montgomery had a very good career at Ohio State and into the NFL. Smith signed with the University of Michigan.
How good is Foster? Coach Korhonen calls Dion the best running back he's ever coached including Montgomery and Smith.
Where will Dion Foster play his college football?
"I'm committing to Wisconsin next week," Foster said. "I've been to Wisconsin a couple of times and I feel it's the best fit for me. I like the campus, the facilities and the academic services center.
"I'm committing next week because my parents wanted me to wait a week and make sure this is going to be my final decision."
Foster will see a familiar face in Madison next year. Badger quarterback Sean Lewis is a former Richards Bulldog and is very familiar with the talented Foster.
A solid get for the Badgers, for the second year in a row, Wisconsin nabs arguably the best running back in the Land of Lincoln.
