East Coast prospect has Big Ten offers

Brandon Flores, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end from Enfield, Conn., is one of the top prospects on the East Coast

"I have offers from U Conn, Syracuse, Wisconsin and Iowa," Flores said.

"All four of those schools have called me as well. My favorites are Penn State, Maryland, U Conn, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Florida State and definitely Miami. I'd love to play at Miami.

"I play defensive end also but most of the schools I'm hearing from want me to play tight end. I prefer tight end because I have a passion for blocking plus I can catch and run."

Flores will transfer to Enfield High School in 2004 after playing his first three high school seasons at Enrico Fermi High School.

As a junior, Flores had 75 tackles and 12 sacks on defense. Brandon had 130 yards and one touchdown from his tight end position on a team that rarely passed the football.

Flores will be a four-year varsity starter in 2004 and was named all-state as a junior.
