Zack Asack, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound quarterback from Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers already has a Duke University scholarship offers and he is hoping more will come his way soon.
"Duke is my only offer," Asack said. "Duke, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Notre Dame and Nebraska all called me this month.
"My favorites are in no order, Boston College, Notre Dame, Duke, Miami, Syracuse, Rutgers and Ohio State."
Asack will be head into the 2004 season in his third year as the starting quarterback for Xaveran Brothers.
He threw for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, completing 65 percent of his passes.
College recruiters love Asack's arm strength and size but his secret weapon is his speed. Zack has been timed at 4.49 in the 40-yard dash.
"I'm the defending 55-meters (Class A) hurdles state champion in Massachusetts," Asack said. "I'm also a member of our (Xaverian Brothers) state champion 4x400 relay team, I can definitely run."
Asack is in search of more scholarship offers and he hits the road this summer to show off his skills.
"I'm definitely going to be busy," he said. "I'm camping at Miami, Boston College, Maryland, Notre Dame and Ohio State."
