N.J. linebacker will have list soon

With a busy workout schedule, in addition to his work and school responsibilities, the recruiting process has been a blur for Bayonne (N.J.) LB/RB Jerome Hayes.

Jerome Hayes, who stands 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds has not even had the time to evaluate his 32 scholarship offers to acquire a solid favorites list.

"I don't have any [favorites] yet," Hayes said. "Maybe two or three weeks I will have it down to 10 schools."

If Hayes can find spare time within those 2-3 weeks, he plans to sit down and map out what he requires in a school. He then will compare each offering school based on those requirements and eliminate as many schools as possible.

"Well I'm going to have a list of things that interest me about schools," remarked Hayes. "Such as location, climate, relationship with coaches, depth chart, academics, and academic support."

Hayes has three camps on his summer slate, team camps at Syracuse and Rutgers and an individual camp at Wisconsin. Unofficially, Hayes has already visited the campuses of Michigan State, Rutgers, Penn State and Syracuse.
