Wisconsin's varsity pair without coxswain, consisting of sophomores Chris Anspach and Tom Webb, raced to finish in 7:47.90, good for fifth place. Cornell won the event in 7:34.00.

Wisconsin also sent five boats to petite finals, with a highest finish of first (seventh overall) in the varsity four without coxswain. The Badgers finished in 6:47.52 in that event while second-place Michigan finished in 6:48.26.
