Ryan Tillema attracts teams with Hoopfest play

Ryan Tillema, a 6-foot-7 senior forward from Randolph (Wis.) High, has attracted the attention of several teams with his strong play at the Kentucky Hoopfest with the Randolph Boy's Club. Tillema averaged 19.2 points and 8.3 rebounds last season and led Randolph to a perfect 26-0 season and second consecutive WIAA Division 4 state title.

Ryan Tillema was named to the Associated Press all-state first team, despite being overshadowed at times by Wisconsin recruit Greg Stiemsma.

Tillema told College Basketball News that Wisconsin-Green Bay and Valpariaso have offered him a scholarship, but he is looking for bigger schools to get involved. Butler and Illinois State have shown interest in him in Louisville and Tillema said that Illinois recently called his coach and that he has heard from Dayton and Northern Iowa.
