The capital city of Nebraska has produced several top linebackers in recent years and this year one of the top linebackers in the city, state, and region comes from Lincoln East High School.
At 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, Brent Gritton has the size to play linebacker at the major college level and also the talent.
Gritton recorded more than 120 tackles from his linebacker position as a junior and looks forward to leading Lincoln East to the elite level of Nebraska's largest school class - Class A in 2004-05.
Having attended the Nike and Adidas camps and College summer camps, he has had the opportunity to talk with coaches and evaluate his skills against the best in the Midwest.
Schools which have shown interest include - Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Northwestern, Alabama, and Wyoming.
