Hanson puts up 17 in Foreign Tour win
Senior guard Clayton Hanson led the Big Ten Foreign Tour Team to a 95-74 win over Marina Traviglia Basketball Club Monday in Casale Monferrato, Italy, putting up 17 points along the way.
Hanson also led the Big Ten team with three assists and posted four rebounds and two steals. Michigan State sophomore forward Delco Rowley was second in points with 14. The Big Ten is 3-0 in its foreign tour games after defeating Marseille-Fos Basketball Club in Marseilles, France, 103-68 on Saturday. Hanson posted six points in the win.
Volleyball No. 3 in preseason conference rankings
After finishing fourth in the Big Ten to round out the 2003 season, the Badger volleyball team was picked to finish third in the conference.
In addition, senior opposite hitter Jill Odenthal was named to the 12-player preseason All-Big Ten team. As a junior, she had 3.58 kills per game, .41 service aces and a .307 hitting percentage.
Minnesota was selected to win the conference title after advancing to the 2003 NCAA semifinals.
