Erasmus James and Scott Starks shared Wisconsin's team defensive player of the week award for the second consecutive week Monday.
Starks had two tackles, one for loss, and played very well in coverage in the Badgers' 9-7 win over Arizona Saturday.
James, who was also named Big Ten defensive player of the week Monday, had five tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a knocked down pass.
It is the third consecutive week James has shared the honor with at least one Badger teammate. The entire defensive line was named defensive player of the week after Wisconsin's opener and James has shared the award with Starks the past two weeks.
The Badgers' defense has given up fewer points (5.3 per game) and fewer yards (201 per game) than any team in the nation that has played three games.
