Tegenkamp named Big Ten Runner of the Week

Men's soccer falls to NIU

The Wisconsin men's soccer program (3-5) could not get a goal against Northern Illinois Wednesday afternoon in DeKalb, Ill., as the Huskies (7-3) defeated the Badgers 1-0.

Northern Illinois scored all it needed at 85:21, as freshman forward Curt Zastrow sent a shot past senior goaltender Eric Hanson to pick up the game-winner.

Hanson collected three saves while NIU sophomore goalie Steve Goletz had six.

Sophomores midfielder Aaron Witchger and defender Hamid Afsari had three shots on goal each. Wisconsin's leading scorer, senior forward Jed Hohlbein, missed the game due to injury.
