Following a 24-13 win at Ohio State, Wisconsin (6-0 overall, 3-0 Big Ten) leapt to No. 10 in the Associated Press poll and No. 12 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. The Badgers were ranked 15th and 16th, respectively, last week.
The AP ranking marks the first time since Sept. 17, 2000 (No. 6 coaches, No. 7 AP) that UW has been listed in the top 10.
The Badgers travel this week to take on Purdue (5-0, 2-0), which checks in at No. 5 in both polls.
In addition to Wisconsin and Purdue, the Big Ten had three more teams ranked in each top 25: Michigan (No. 14 AP/No. 13 coaches), Minnesota (19/20) and Ohio State (23/25).
Wisconsin ranked No. 10
