Stocco led the Badger offense to touchdowns on its first four possessions and scores on its first five as UW built a 31-0 lead on its way a 38-14 win over Minnesota Saturday.
Stocco accounted for three touchdowns while completing 73 percent of his passes as the Badgers improved to 9-0. The Richfield, Minn., native connected on 19 of 26 passes for a career-high 297 yards and a touchdown while adding a pair of rushing scores. His 241 passing yards in the first half surpassed his previous single-game career-best of 211.
In his first season as a starter the sophomore signal-caller has completed 119 of 218 passes for 1,506 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions. He also has been credited with 34 rushing attempts for nine yards and four touchdowns.
