Wilkinson, Tucker will play versus Marquette

Badgers top-two scorers missed practice Thursday

Alando Tucker, Wisconsin's leading scorer, was back on the practice floor Friday after taking one of what have become habitual rest breaks Thursday. Tucker continues to work into physical shape after missing most of last season with a pair of foot injuries. The foot is fine but his body needs more time to recuperate, so the Badger training staff has often held him out of the practices following a game.

There was never much question whether Tucker would play Saturday, when the Badgers take on in-state rival Marquette at 7:30 p.m. at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

Mike Wilkinson, the Badgers' second-leading scorer, was another story but the 6-foot-8 senior forward is also expected to be on the floor at game time Saturday. Wilkinson wore a walking boot Thursday and missed practice with a lower left leg injury. He returned in a limited capacity Friday, participating in some drills during the portion of practice that is closed to the media, a UW official said. Wilkinson did not scrimmage with the team Friday but is expected to play against the Golden Eagles.
