Wisconsin senior defenseman Molly Engstrom was named Western Collegiate Hockey Association Co-Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Badgers to a sweep of Quinnipiac over the weekend. Jill Luebke of Bemidji State also received honors.
Engstrom collected two assists Friday and a goal and an assist Saturday while playing on a defense that gave up only 27 shots on goal throughout the weekend. She also played with a penalty kill unit that shut down three 5-on-3 Quinnipiac power plays Friday.

The men's hockey team (15-6-1 overall) moved up a spot, from sixth to fifth, in the U.S. College Hockey Online/CSTV poll, after outscoring St. Cloud State 10-2 in a pair of wins over the weekend. The Badgers, however, are tied for No. 11 in the PairWise Rankings, which are designed to mimic the seeding for the NCAA Tournament.
The women's hockey team (15-4-1 overall), after sweeping Quinnipiac in a non-conference matchup, remained at No. 4 in the USCHO/CSTV poll. The Badgers are No. 5 in the PairWise Rankings.
