Report: White interviews with Cowboys

Brian White has spent the past 10 seasons as an assistant at the University of Wisconsin and the past six as offensive coordinator.

Monday, however, White, whose job title and responsibilities at UW were recently shifted to co-offensive coordinator, interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys vacant running backs coaching position, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

If White remains with the Badgers, he will share the offensive coordinator role with newly hired assistant Paul Chryst, who is expected to command most of the playing-calling duties. Chryst is scheduled to make his first public statements to reporters this afternoon.

In addition to his co-offensive coordinator duties, Chryst officially replaced Rob Ianello as tight ends coach last week. Ianello's role as recruiting coordinator is expected to be filled by Jeremy Sinz, who is currently director of football operations. Sinz held the recruiting coordinator position during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
