Wisconsin receives No. 6 seed

Badgers will travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., to play Northern Iowa at 6:20 p.m. Friday in the Syracuse Region

The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team is a No. 6 seed in the Syracuse Region of the NCAA Tournament and will face No. 11 seed Northern Iowa (21-10) at 6:20 p.m. Friday.

The 23rd-ranked Badgers enter the 65-team tournament at 22-8, after falling to Illinois 54-43 in the Big Ten Tournament championship game.

Wisconsin is one of five Big Ten teams to make the tournament. Top-ranked Illinois (32-1) is a No. 1 seed in the Chicago Region. Michigan State is a No. 5 seed in the Austin Region. Minnesota is also in as an eight seed. Iowa is in as a 10 seed.
