Focus '06 – Da'Vell Jackson

Eldorado High School (Las Vegas) wide receiver/defensive back

Da'Vell Jackson, a class of 2006 wide receiver/defensive back prospect from Eldorado High School in Las Vegas, already has a scholarship offer in hand from UNLV. In addition to the Rebels, he informed Scout.com that he has high interest in USC, Wisconsin and Washington prior to a mini-combine at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon.

Jackson, a Las Vegas Sun first-team all-state wide receiver last fall, caught 60 passes for 1,158 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He will spend his fourth season on varsity this fall.

At 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Jackson is a long strider with good quickness. He recorded 4.6- and 4.7-second 40-yard dashes, a 4.39 pro agility run and a 7.32 3-cone drill Wednesday. He displayed good hands and concentration when reacting to passes. An impressive athlete, Jackson has the frame to add more weight without sacrificing quickness and he could be faster with some subtle improvements to his form.

Jackson has been very productive on the high school gridiron and he was also an all-conference point guard on the basketball court.
