Krabbenhoft injures foot

Badger men's basketball team's top recruit will be examined Wednesday

Joe Krabbenhoft, one of the top-ranked class of 2005 prospects in the nation, was diagnosed with a left foot injury by the University of Wisconsin athletic training staff Monday and will be examined further today.

Krabbenhoft, a 6-foot-7 forward, was ranked No. 35 in the nation in the final Scout.com rankings for the class of 2005, making him the top-ranked prospect heading to any Big Ten school.

Krabbenhoft is no stranger to foot injuries. He suffered a stress fracture to his right foot as a freshman at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, S.D. He missed the beginning of his junior season due to a stress fracture in his left foot and he missed the end of that campaign after breaking his left foot.

But Krabbenhoft had been completely healthy in the past year. He enjoyed a strong senior year and has been expected to be a significant contributor for the Badgers as a true freshman.
