Lance Kendricks, Scout.com's No. 23 ranked wide receiver in the class of 2006 and the No. 14 overall prospect in the Midwest, has scheduled official visits to LSU (Oct. 21), Arkansas (Nov. 4) and Wisconsin (Dec. 4). In a telephone interview Wednesday night, Kendricks said he is "almost sure" that he will also take official trips to Oklahoma and UCLA.
Kendricks has five scholarship offers, from Wisconsin, Arkansas, LSU, Purdue and Indiana. The Badgers, Razorbacks and Tigers have long been at or near the top of Kendricks' wish list, and UCLA and Oklahoma have been strong contenders since they began recruiting him.
The Bruins have been keeping in touch with Kendricks since he performed well at a USC Nike camp in April.
"They tell me all the time that they are really interested and everything," Kendricks said of UCLA.
Oklahoma originally was recruiting Kendricks, a nationally elite triple jumper, for track and field. But Kendricks sent the Sooners junior season film and tape from his first four football games of his senior year, and they liked what they saw.
"They're supposed to call me back to schedule an official," Kendricks said. "So I'm pretty sure they will offer."
Though it is highly unlikely Purdue or Indiana will receive an official visit from Kendricks, he said those schools are not totally out of the running.
"I'll still be considering them but I don't know," he said. "It depends on how everything works out with the other schools."
