Fla. receiver eyes three visits

Xavier Harris will begin his official visit tour this weekend.

Clemson recruiting cooridnator David Blackwell visited with 5-11, 175-pound wide receiver prospect Xavier Harris (Fort Lauderdale High School) last week. "Coach Blackwell came by the school last week. We had a good talk. It went pretty good," Harris told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

"We mostly talked about the depth chart," Harris said. "We talked about me coming up for my official visit on Jan. 13."

The Florida standout only plans three official visits. "Right now it looks like Clemson is one school," Harris said. "I am also going to visit Wisconsin and Michigan State. I am going to Wisconsin on Friday. I am probably going to Michigan State in January. That will probably be it."

When asked if he had a leader, Harris responded, "No not really. It will be one of those three, but I don't have a leader."

With signing day just two months away, Harris is starting to think about when he will make his selection. "I will probably make my decision sometime in January," Harris said.

The Fort Lauderdale standout is all set to qualify. "I have an SAT score to qualify," he said. "I also have the grades. I'm in good shape."

The talented receiver will be playing in the Florida North-South All-Star game. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Florida, right up through signing day.
