Will Bret Offer Diondre Jenkins?

Are the stars aligning for the Wisconsin Badgers? Paul Chryst visited wide receiver Diondre Jenkins a few days ago and the Badgers could offer a scholarship soon. An offer and commitment from Jenkins could pay big dividends for Bret Bielema in the recruitment of John Clay.

A couple of days ago, Jon Linder, wrote a story on wide receiver Diondre Jenkins, and whether or not Wisconsin will offer him a scholarship. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, from Park High in Racine, Wis., is committed to Northern Illinois and he's one of the most underrated prospects in the Midwest.

Jenkins has a long stride, great hands, deceptive speed and excellent hand-eye coordination. The lack of involvement from the Big Ten where Jenkins is concerned has been puzzling this year.

Jenkins would be a fantastic addition to any recruiting class, but Wisconsin should offer Jenkins for several reasons including the fact that Park also has perhaps the No. 1 rated junior prospect in the Midwest in running back John Clay. No, it's not a lock that the Badgers will land Clay if they take Jenkins this year but it sure wouldn't hurt their chances either.

Jenkins had 526 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns in 2005. Here a few highlights from senior season.
