Mike Van Someren, a 6-foot-7, 285-pound offensive lineman from Somerset, Wisconsin will be a prospect to watch in the Midwest this fall. Somerset head coach Bruce Larsen talks about his top recruit.
"Mike is a big kid." Larsen said. "He has a big frame and he still has room to grow. I think that by the time he leaves college, Mike can be about 6-foot-8 and 330-pounds.
"Mike fits the Big Ten stature as far as what they're looking for in an offensive lineman. He's a big weight lifter and he can move for his size.
The Minnesota Gophers have expressed the most interest and we had several schools come through during the May Evaluation period."
Mike Van Someren is currently at the University of Wisconsin football camp. We'll have comments from Mike very soon.
