"I didn't start playing quarterback until last year." Bednarik said. "As a sophomore, I played strong safety. My junior year I played wide receiver, strong safety and linebacker.

"I got a chance to play quarterback near the end of the season last year and I did pretty well. I also attended the Nike Camp (Penn State) and I think I did pretty good. Most everyone is recruiting me as a quarterback.."

We asked Adam which schools have been in contact and if he has any favorites.

"I don't have any offers. West Virginia, Purdue, Kansas State, Hofstra, U Conn, Iowa, Penn State, Illinois and Boston College all called during May.

"My top five would be West Virginia, Penn State, Iowa, Virginia and Wisconsin in no order. I don't have a favorite."

Adam Bednarik threw for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in four games last season. Those numbers were good enough to earn him all-area honors.
