Steve Douglas Receives First Offer

Steve Douglas has spent the past three seasons opening holes for All-American and Penn State bound running back J.R. Zwierzinski. Douglas has Wisconsin on the top of his list but the Badgers haven't offered a scholarship yet. A school in the Big XII Conference is the first to offer Douglas a scholarship. Take a look.

"Colorado has offered me a scholarship." Douglas said. "Wisconsin is still my favorite. Michigan, Illinois and Oregon are my other favorites.

Douglas will be a three-year varsity starter for the three time defending state champion Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers.

The Hilltoppers have had a pretty good run sending prospects to the D-1 ranks the past three seasons.

Mike Goolsby (Notre Dame), Mike Malone(Illinois), Lee Sicinski (Illinois), Patrick McShane (Boston College), Mike Kolodziej (Michigan) and J.R. Zwierzinski (Penn State)have all gone through Dan Sharp's program in Joliet.

Steve Douglas is next and the Hilltoppers have a couple of linebackers that should sign D-1 letters of intent this year as well. Keep an eye on Ryan Lincoln and Ross Crampton.
