Fresh off the most productive season by any quarterback in Wisconsin history, John Stocco has been named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award; UW Athletic Board announces contract renewals for 10 head coaches

Badger quarterback John Stocco is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes annually to the best college football player in the nation.

Last season Stocco set Wisconsin records with 2,920 passing yard, 21 passing touchdowns and 197 pass completions and his 328 pass attempts is the second-highest total in school history. He averaged 224.6 yards per game passing and had a 150.48 pass-efficiency rating.

In two years as UW's starting quarterback, Stocco has compiled a 19-6 record. During that span his win total was only surpassed by Southern California's Matt Leinart, Texas's Vince Young (24) and Boise State's Jared Zabransky (20).
