Badgers Call Indiana Athlete

The state of Indiana is loaded, deep and talented in 2002. This prospect has a chance to be highly recruited and he has the stats to back it up. Take a look.

A prospect that received high praise in the Midwest during the May Evaluation period was 6-foot, 175-pound, wide receiver Jawann Turner. Turner will be a three-year varsity starter and he's from Hammond (Ind.) High School.

"No offers yet." Turner said. "Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Boston College and Wisconsin all called during the May Evaluation period and they are probably the schools that are recruiting me the hardest.

"If I had to list my favorites, they would probably be Illinois, Florida, Florida State, UCLA and Purdue. These are the schools where I'd like to play my college football."

Turner had 44 catches for 844 yards and 16 touchdowns. On defense, Jawann had 30 solo tackles and five interceptions. Turner says he prefers to play wide receiver at the next level but he thinks most schools would like him to play defensive back.
