RT Eric Vanden Heuvel speaks

New starting RT Eric Vanden Heuvel talks about playing next to a high school teammate and how the Auburn game helped his confidence in this BN interview from media day.

Eric Vanden Heuvel

On how playing in the Capital One Bowl has helped him this year: I think it's helped a lot confidence wise. I mean if you look at the history of Wisconsin football, not to many sophomores have started on the offensive line. I think that the Auburn game really helped with my confidence going against a team of that caliber should really help me coming into this year.

On having high school teammate Andy Kemp playing right along side of him

It's been great. It gives both of us confidence because we communicate real well. We work real well together since we've been doing it since high school when he was at guard and I was at tackle.

On any help he has received from the older guys on the team

A little bit. Kraig's been giving me a lot of pointers since he used to be at RT so there has been some of that. But most of it came during the season last year but now I'm really just trying to figure stuff out for myself when it happens on the practice field.
