In-depth with Josh Oglesby

Ranked as the third best offensive line prospect in the nation, according to, Josh Oglesby is easily the headliner of the Badger recruiting class of 2007. Josh Clark caught up with Oglesby, who goes as in-depth as you've heard him in this exclusive report avaiable to

Bret Bielema could not have asked for anything better in his first full recruiting class.

Not only was he able to secure the commitment of the state's best player, but also one of the nation's top talents, when he received the verbal pledge of St. Francis, Wisconsin offensive lineman Josh Oglesby.

What he and his program also gained was an outstanding young man with the character, intregrity, and work ethic to be a leader among his recruiting class.

Oglesby will add yet another honor this Friday when he will be officially announced as a selection to the 2007 US Army All-American Game.

"The selection staff is coming by my high school on Friday to officially announce my selection to the game," Oglesby informed

"I'm in a euphoric state of mind. It's a honor to be selected in a game where so many All-Americans, NFL players, and future Hall of Famers have been selected to play. It'll be great to represent my high school, Wisconsin, and play in front of the entire country."

Oglesby also will use the opportunity to prepare himself for what could be an opportunity to play as a true freshman next fall.

"I get better with each practice, and this game will give me an opportunity to go up against the best speed rushers and defensive ends that I've played against to this point. It'll give me a good understanding of where I'm currently at in my progress, and give me a chance to play with the nation's best," Oglesby stated.

Many have pegged Oglesby as an active recruiter for the Badgers as they finish their 2007 recruiting class.

According to Oglesby, he takes a backseat when it comes to being a recruiter, himself.

"I hated having all the kids committed to other schools call me telling me to go to that school as if they knew what was best for me," added Oglesby, who will make his official visit to Madison on December 1st. "I'm not going to trying telling someone where they should go to school. I have no problem letting people know Wisconsin is a good place to be, but I letpeople make the best decisions for themselves."
