The fifth annual Kids Day at the Kohl presented by Physician's Plus Insurance Corporation and Alliant Energy is a day of fun and games is Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kohl Center. Kids of all ages are welcome. Admission is free.
All three levels of the Kohl Center will be filled with interactive sport activities including a football toss, basketball shooting zone, rowing exhibit, soccer attraction, hockey shooting area, softball batting cage, a golf hole, and more. Many of these exhibits will be staffed by UW student-athletes and coaches throughout the event.
Badger locker rooms will be available for viewing along with the newly-renovated weight room. Kids will have the opportunity to visit the media room and take part in a mock press conference. Bucky Badger will be on hand for photographs throughout the event. Uniforms and equipment will be available for attendees to try on. Plus, there will be a Wisconsin Athletics trophy exhibit featuring the all the NCAA championship hardware won last season by the UW men's and women's hockey and cross country teams.
As an added bonus on Oct. 27, all fans will receive free admission to the Wisconsin Women's Hockey game that afternoon. Face-off is 2 p.m. as the defending national champions take on North Dakota. During the game, kids will have an opportunity to "Take Over the Kohl Center" by performing a variety of game day duties. These exciting duties include public address announcer, puck kid, videoboard operator, camera operator, stick kid, and game day DJ.
