Millington Talks about UW Visit

Akim Millington will begin calling to set official visits later this week. Will Wisconsin be one of them?

After visiting Madison during fall camp, Akim Millington now has Wisconsin in his top five, along with Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma and Miami. The 6-6, 300-pound lineman from Wheaton North High School visited Badger practice August 5, and came away with positive impressions.

"It was nice, very beautiful," Millington said. "And I felt very welcome there."

Millington attended the morning practice and talked to several coaches before taking a complete tour of the facilities back on campus.

"I watched all of the offensive line drills, the first team against the second team, some of the kicking, just about everything," Millington said. "It was very impressive."

But Millington said beyond his list of five favorites, he does not have a single leader. He said he plans on taking three or four visits (out of his top five), and make his decision after comparing all of his visits.

The only school he is unlikely to visit is Miami, because the Hurricanes have not offered him a scholarship yet. The only other school he hasn't been on an unofficial trip to is Oklahoma, but he is considering making an official visit there later this fall.

One of the first schools he will schedule an official visit with is Wisconsin.

"I will call and schedule it within the next week, most likely," Millington said. "I'm pretty sure I will take one to Wisconsin."
