Illinois Linebacker Cory McKeon

Naperville (Ill.) North linebacker Cory McKeon is a Midwest "Top 100" selection and he'll be an all-region selection as well. McKeon gives us an update on his recruitment.

"Actually I'm pretty wide open right now." Linebacker Cory McKeon said. "If I had to pick a leader it would probably be Wisconsin just because I've been up there so much.

"I'm starting to like UCLA a lot right now. I might take a visit out there (Westwood).

"My favorites are Wisconsin, Purdue, Miami (Fla.), Penn State, UCLA and Miami (Ohio).

"I'll probably take some visits during and after the season before making a commitment."

McKeon, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound, linebacker from Naperville (Ill.) North has looked great in summer camps and combines.

He ran a 4.49 at the Michigan State Nike Camp and it looks as if he lived in the weight room during the off season.

Cory has a ton of upside but what college recruiters love the most is the fact that he plays for his father (Larry McKeon). College recruiters love to get young men that have been around football their whole lives.

Larry McKeon is one of the best and most respected coaches in Illinois.
