Videographer Mitch McDowell from When We Were Young Productions made the trip to Lake Placid, N.Y., with the team in order to put together an all-access program that will give fans an inside look at Wisconsin's run to the 2007 national title. McDowell has worked on a similar project with Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers since the start of last season to create a monthly FSN show entitled "Brewers Str8up."
Wisconsin claimed its second straight NCAA championship by defeating Minnesota Duluth 4-1 last month on the same sheet of ice where Mark Johnson scored two goals against the Soviet Union in the "Miracle on Ice" game during the 1980 Olympics.
En route to their 36-1-4 overall record, the Badgers broke or tied 18 NCAA team and individual records including most wins in a season, fewest losses, best winning percentage (.927), fewest goals allowed (36) and most shutouts (18).
For those with Charter Cable in the Madison area, Fox Sports Net is channel 26. Viewers in other areas of the state should check their local listings.
The show, produced by When We Were Young Productions, is also set to air at noon on Friday, April 13 on FSN North Wisconsin.
