Official Visitors 9-21

Iowa weekend is here and that means official and unofficial visits. We told you yesterday that Jon Major, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound, All-American linebacker from Colorado is making the trek to Wisconsin. Look inside to see who else will be joining Major this weekend in Madison.

WR Wes Kemp 6-4, 220, 4.7 - St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet

Kemp is already verbally committed to the Badgers. We had the chance to watch Kemp in action this past summer at the combine and he didn't disappoint. Kemp was put together, he ran well and was one of the best competitors at the combine.

DE Jake Stoller 6-4, 250, 4.9 Shaker Heights (Ohio) University

Stoller is quickly becoming one of the most sought after defensive linemen in the Midwest. He has scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Iowa and a handful of MAC schools. This is Stoller's first official visit.

DE Anthony Mains 6-7, 200, 4.8 Naples (Fla.) Golden Gate

Mains took an official visit to Central Florida last weekend and had a good trip as George O'Leary's Knights almost upset Texas. Wisconsin is the second official visit for Mains and although his scholarship offers are in double digits, he doesn't have any other official visits set up yet.

DT Blake Ferras 6-5, 285 San Francisco (Calif.) City College

Good defensive tackles are hard to find and Ferras is one of the best in the country. Defensive line is a major recruiting need for the Badgers and Ferras would be huge commitment for Coach Bielema and his staff.

Unofficial Visitors Running back commitment Erik Smith (Bolingbrook, Ill.) told Badger Nation that he'll be in Madison this weekend as did verbal commitment Mike Taylor from Green Bay. It's almost a shoe-in that there will be a Peter Konz and Tyler Westphal sighting on Saturday night.

A couple of prospects that the Badger staff is high on but haven't made offers to as of yet will also be coming to Madison for unofficial visits are De Pere lineman Drew Nowak and Richland Center fullback Bradie Ewing.
