Two Official Visitors This Weekend

The Badgers are bringing in two official visitors this weekend for the game against Northern Illinois. One of those prospects is defensive end Brendan Kelly, a 6-foot-7, 220-pounder, from Richfield (Minn.) Holy Angels

Brendan Kelly takes his first official visit of the year and it's not to the school in which he's given a verbal commitment to.

"I'm committed to Minnesota but I told the people at Wisconsin that I would come for an official visit." Brendan Kelly told Badger Nation.

"I promised Coach (Bob) Bostad that I would come check things out at Wisconsin and this was before I committed to Minnesota and I'm a man of my word."

So is this a token visit for Kelly or will an outstanding visit to Madison open his recruitment back up?

"I'm a never say never kind of guy," Kelly said. "If I have a great time and things feel right, well I'd have to take a look at things. Right now though, I don't know. I won't know anything until after the visit.

"Again, I'm open for change. Life happens and it has many twists and turns so I'm looking forward to this weekend. Coach Bostad is a great guy and an excellent recruiter."

Kelly is the leading tackler on a Holy Angels team that's currently 5-3. Brendan won't be the only Minnesotan on his official visit this weekend at Wisconsin. Four-star defensive tackle Willie Mobley will also be making the trip to Madtown.
