Badgers Get First Crack

The Badgers 2008 recruiting class is almost full but there's always room a top-drawer defensive tackle. Willie Mobley, a 6-foot-2, 265-pounder, from Eden Prairie (Minn.) will take his first of five official visits this weekend to Wisconsin.

"That's the plan right now," Willie Mobley told Badger Nation. "I have practice tomorrow that I can't miss so I might end up driving down to Madison with my mom.

"Madison isn't that far from Minneapolis. It's about the same drive as it is to Iowa City. I'm looking forward to getting down to Wisconsin and checking everything out.

"I heard Brendan Kelly from Holy Angels is going to be down there as well so it will be nice to hang out with a familiar person. Wisconsin has a reputation for having great fans and a great atmosphere at the games so I'm anxious to check all that out."

Mobley denies a leader for his services at this point and says he'll be taking official visit #2 very soon.

"I'm going to Ohio State in a few weeks for an official visit. As far as a leader, not right now. Everything is still a little confusing to me and hopefully after I take some visits, the picture will become a little clearer.

"Arizona, UCLA, Iowa and Minnesota are the other schools I like a lot right now. I really haven't shut the door completely on anyone yet."

Mobley and his Eden Prairie teammates have an 8-0 record so far this season. Willie has 80 tackles and 10 sacks to his credit.

Bob Bostad and Bret Bielema are recruiting Mobley for the Badgers.
