Wisconsin is 3-2-0 in home openers under Mike Eaves, 25-12-1 in home openers since joining the WCHA in 1969 and 29-14-1 in home openers in the modern era (since 1963).
Fourth-year program Robert Morris boasts 14 seniors on its roster compared to only four for Wisconsin.
After producing a program-low 10 goals and 59 points last season, Wisconsin defensemen have already collected a goal and seven points through two games this season.
Wisconsin played excellent in its season opener against No.8 Notre Dame, not showing its youth, in a 4-1 victory. The next night, the Badgers did show their youth losing 5-3 in the finals against Ohio State. Still, the Badgers were able to overcome two two-goal deficits. On the other hand, Robert Morris beat then-No.9 Boston University on its way to winning the Nye Frontier Classic in Anchorage. This will be a tough home opener for Wisconsin, but Robert Morris isn't used to playing in such an electric environment like the Kohl Center. UW wins tonight, ties tomorrow
