Connecticut TE hoping for Badger offer

Brad Listorti, a TE/WR from Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn., is hoping Wisconsin and Iowa will offer him a scholarship.

Tight End Brad Listorti has been waiting patiently for more offers to roll in, but he's narrowed his choices down to three schools.

Rutgers has offered him a scholarship, while Wisconsin and Iowa are on the brink and are contacting him every day. Listorti, a 6-4, 225-pound senior from Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn., said he would be very interested in Wisconsin or Iowa if they offer a scholarship.

"Wisconsin hasn't offered yet, but they've been down here, and there are phone calls every day," Listorti said. "They said they might be down during the season. Iowa is also calling all the time. I would take a visit out to either one, but nothing has been offered by either one of them at this point."

Listorti, who plans to major in education, said location "is not at all an issue" in his decision, and he considers himself wide open. He attends the same high school as former Badger Tarek Saleh, who he has spoken with many times. Saleh is currently in Madison training and hoping to latch onto another NFL team.

Listorti said the quality of the football program is the most important factor in his decision.

"There are some other things (I'm considering) but football will override everything else," Listorti said.
