Joe Jon Finley Update

Arlington (TX.) quarterback Joe Jon Finley is still heavily considering Wisconsin. Check out the latest from Heartland Recruiting.

Joe Jon Finley Profile

A tight end? Think again.

The six-foot-six, 210-lb Finley ranks third among DFW Metroplex passers with the best interception-to-pass ratio behind Colleyville Heritage's Cole Ford and Highland Park's Bill Foran.

For the season, Finley has completed 49-of-90 passes for 783 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions, but as HR has witnessed on film, Finley is equally dangerous when he pulls the ball down and runs to daylight with that huge frame.

"I have 15 formal (written) offers," Finley told HR on Thursday night. "I have already taken an official visit to Wisconsin the weekend they played Penn State (October 5th). I'm also considering OU, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama and Arizona."

There has been a lot of discussion concerning Finley possibly playing another position on the next level.

"All the schools that I listed are recruiting me as a quarterback with the exception of Florida," he continued. "They're recruiting me as a tight end."

Finley, who has posted a 4.69 in the forty, is also an excellent student, carrying a 10.8 GPA on a '12' scale and scoring an 1120 on the SAT.

The Colts are currently 6-1 and will be entertaining Arlington Bowie this Friday night.
